Kevin Connelly

Comedian

Kevin Connelly is one of the stars of BBC2’s and BBC Radio 4’s highly acclaimed Dead Ringers series. His impressions of public figures including Andrew Marr, David Dimbleby, Andrew Neil, Steve McClaren and Richie Benaud are uncannily accurate.

Born in Middlesbrough, Connelly found fame while still at school, mimicking his fellow students and his teachers. As his ‘turns’ became more popular, he gained confidence and included a few leading personalities in his repertoire. While working as a restaurant manager at his brother-in-law’s hotel near Thirsk, he would present small cameo pieces to entertain his customers at the end of the evening. It was through these cameos that he was asked to speak at the Yorkshire CCC dinner. Engagements rolled in from there and eventually he gave up restaurant management to become a professional impressionist.

Connelly’s extensive repertoire includes sportsmen, politicians and television personalities and characters as well as a spectacular Sir Elton John performance!
